Bio

Dr. Naser P. Sharifi received his B.Sc. degree in 2009, and his M.Sc. degree in 2011. He also received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA in 2016. Dr. Sharifi’s research interests include concrete technology, sustainability of infrastructure, and novel construction and pavement materials. He has worked on research projects supported by the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (DOT), Michigan DOT, and Pitt IRISE. Dr. Sharifi has over 22 publications in archival journals and conference proceedings. He has served as the revision committee member for ASTM D7369-11, and the reviewer in several journals such as Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composites, and Construction and Building Materials. Dr. Sharifi is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E. - Civil Structural). He has valued his time at the University of Pittsburgh, and has since begun working as a Research Scientist at CarbonBuilt as of July, 2022.
